The New Spirituality Network depends on charitable
contributions to continue its spiritual outreach. The Foundation intends shortly to
become a 501(c)(3) organization, with tax-exempt status recognized by the United States
Internal Revenue Service. All gifts made to the Foundation will then be tax-deductible
to the extent allowed by law in the area where you live.
Contributions are deductible for the year in which they are actually paid or delivered.
Pledges are not deductible until the year in which they are paid. We urge you to
consult with your tax and legal advisers about the tax implications of your subscription
or gift.
The Foundation accepts charitable contributions in the following forms:
Gifts of Cash
Personal checks made payable to New Spirituality Network. Charges to a credit card may be
made either through the mail or over the phone.
Gifts of Securities
Securities such as stocks, bonds and other appreciated securities may benefit the donor
in two ways: The full-market value of the securities may be tax-deductible, and if the
securities have appreciated in value, capital gains taxation can be avoided, depending
on tax laws in your country.
Planned Gifts
Planned Gifts, including annuities, charitable remainder trusts and the following other
gifts require the assistance of the Vice President of Philanthropy.
Matching Gifts
Many employers match gifts made by their employees or make grants to organizations
recommended by employees. Be sure to ask your company how it can help your gift go even
further. If your company does not have a corporate giving program in place, consider
taking the initiative to start one.
